     This article was contributed by Mathew Anthony Dymek, a USS Pringle survivor.  "Frank was aboard the Pringle for a look and report, I met the man and have a article from the Washington Daily News, dated Sat Aug. 28th, 1943" 

     Mat sent me the original article which is too old and faded to get a decent image by scanning.    The follow text was re-typed exactly as it appears on the original.   Notice the article doesn't mention the USS Pringle or the 'Skipper' by name.    
     The medical officer Lieut. Kreuzburg and the hospital apprentice James Maloney must have left the ship before the Pringle sank.  Their names do not appear on the 16 Apr 45 roster, but sadly, the Pharmacist Wallace Cable does, and is listed as 'missing'.
