George Washington Smith
My grandfather, George Washington Smith was a survivor of the sinking of the USS Pringle. 
I’ve heard the story of that day many times; sadly, I will not be hearing it from him anymore, as he past away last year. 
He was a proud man, as I am sure all of them were or still are!
